The Ordinary (what a humble name!), is by no means an unknown brand. I am sure you have either used or heard about The ordinary at some point.
Although the hype has somewhat died down, and there has been a number of new product launches and new brands on the market, this line of skincare is still simple, affordable and gives great results.
The fact that it is now available in a range of large department stores and online shows how much we all love it. There are new launches in well loved stores and the love is spreading!
It is affordable and the packaging is simple and effective.
The products names can be a bit overwhelming and scary especially if your new to the world of complicated skincare regimes.
However, the staff in store are really helpful and friendly and are super approachable.
I would recommend going in store and having a chat about your skin type and needs. the store is conveniently organised into product types which helps organise my thought processes.
so onto the review!
Why my skin loves this!
If you have been reading my blogs for a while you will know that my skin can be all over the place. I have dry days and dehydrated days with the occasional oily t-zone days.
I always look for skincare products that are hydrating, moisturising and brightening that can be easily layered and used in multiple ways.
I also love affordable yet effective skincare and this serum ticks all the above boxes!
The hyaluronic acid at the centre of this super serum attracts up to 1000 times its weight in water, while a brilliant boost of vitamin B5 heals dry and damaged areas by stabilising the skin’s barrier function and promoting the growth of stronger tissue.
Because this oil free serum penetrates deep into the layers of the skin, my skin feels smooth, supple and glowy and it is really easy to add into your skincare routine.
Application and how to get the most from it!
This is a simple lightweight serum that is applied onto clean skin after cleansing.
Apply a few drops on your face and smooth over the skin before following with a moisturiser.
To give your moisturiser an extra boost I love to add a few drops of the serum and mix it into my favourite moisturiser.
The serum is packaged simply in glass bottles with a pipette that makes dispensing your required amount of product simple and effective.
The frosted bottle looks sleek and elegant with a scientific edge to it.
Because it is glass I feel it keeps the product more clean and free of any toxins.
Saying that be careful when travelling with it. It is a thick glass bottle and I have had no issues with it breaking but I do wrap it carefully before I take it with me!
This is by no means an ordinary product. It works amazingly on my skin (this is my third bottle and I will keep repurchasing) and the price tag allows you to try something new without worrying about breaking the bank.
I have consistently good hydrated skin, the product is scent free and I have had no issues with any irritation or break outs.
My skin feels deeply moisturised and plump and my skincare products are working in harmony!
