I am no contour expert however my face definitely needs definition. I like bronzer for giving my face a soft glow and a little shape, but I have never really been someone who contours as a regular part of my makeup routine.
Until now.
I experienced love at first swatch at the Charlotte Tilbury Covent Garden and I knew it would be a game changer for me and here is why!
Colour
I have tanned skin with an olive undertone and so went with the Medium-dark as I felt it would suit me more and give me ore definition. It is neither too ashy or too warm and has the most perfect neutral undertone.
I love this colour so much I use it as an eyeshadow too for a quick no fuss bronze look which works beautifully or even in my crease because the colour is that spot on. It doesn’t look muddy on the skin and gives your skin definition but also adds a little glowy warmth to it.

Texture, Blend-ability and build-ability
This cream contour has a beautiful light weight consistency and is very thin in texture. It has a cooling effect on the skin and blends out beautifully. I would recommend using a sponge as opposed to a brush to blend it out as I feel like the finishing is more flawless and I apply most of my cream products using my beauty blender anyway.
This formula does a great job of building up flawlessly on the skin as the texture is so light you can layer the product to your desired intensity. It works great for a natural everyday look or an evening out.
I haven’t encountered any issues with layering this on top of my foundation but would wait a little bit in between to let the foundation dry down a little in order to avoid getting a muddy effect.

Packaging and Application
I love all Charlotte tilbury Packaging, it is elegant, sleek, travel friendly and oozes luxury and this contour wand ticks all the above boxes.
Although it is in a small squeezy tube, It conveniently has a twist top that acts as an open and close mechanism. This ensures you only dispense the required amount of product directly into the sponge tip application and you don’t wast any product.
The sponge tip allows you to directly place product onto the areas you require contouring. It is wide enough for a quick swipe accross the perimeters of your face and cheeckbones and when angled you can apply id down the sides of your nose. You can even dip and tap a small brush for more precise application if you dont like using the sponge tip.
It blends flawlessly into the skin using a beauty blender, if you like using a brush I would recommend a small stipple brush. It doesn’t need setting as drys down with a non tacky almost powder texture that stays put!

Final Thoughts
Overall I love this product. It is high end and quite pricy but you do get 12ml of product which is reasonable. Will I repurchase this? I love it so much I have no doubt I will! The colour is so flattering and the definition it gives is subtle yet striking at the same time. This is a great product for tan skin tones. It blends out beautifully, the packaging is stunning and overall it is definitely Ukbeautygem approved!
