Sometimes you have the luxury to really take time with your lips. You can apply a balm, go in with a liner, fill up your lips with the colour and then readjust adding another colour or a lip topper to add volume.
This isnt a realistic day to day routine for most and if you are the type of person who sacrifices sleep for getting ready properly in the mornings I really commend you!
I always do my lips last as a finishing touch. Most times I run out the door as I am swiping something over my lips while getting the kids in the car and do a quick check in the rearview mirror.
If you need an all in one easy no fuss product that you can pop in your bag this is definately for you.
Texture and Application.
If you like a high shine glass like finish to your gloss then this is not for you. I would describe this as a very creamy lipstick with a distinctive glossy sheen.
Being in a pencil it is simple and quick to apply as it allows you outline your lips and fill them in a soft but luminous veil of colour all in one go, no fuss.
Longevity and comfort.
It is enriched with Vitamin E and is super comfortable on the lips, it isnt very long lasting and you will have to reapply often especially after a bite to eat. However your lips feel soft and nourished application is not an issue and it is not sticky or tacky (no hair getting stuck everywhere issues!)
Shade Range, Packaging and Price
They have a range if 12 colours some with a glitter effect for a more shiny impact but I just gravitated towards the nudes as you do! They are very affordable and great quality at only £3.99 each but currently on sale for £2.79 (links below).
The packaging is in a stick format but it is very compact, not as chunky as the clinique chubby sticks but not as slim and long as a lip pencil. I think they have done really well with the size but just be wary you will need a larger sharpener to sharpen it!
I have it in shade 10 which is a deep rose nude. Perfect for those with medium to more tan skin tones but I think it is universally flattering depending on how you decide to wear it.
Shade 11 is Mauve beige again a great nude that can work with a variety of skin tones!
I can think this is a great transition from a matte to a gloss finish for those that want to try a more glossy look but have always been a die hard matte finish type of person. The price point is better than some drugstore prices and the quality, finish and application is faultless. Definitely ukbeautygems approved!
