Review and Swatches of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks in Sunset Pink and Wild Rose. (With deals and offers)

I am a huge fan of Bobbi Brown cosmetics especially being someone with golden Indian skin tone; which they cater for beautifully. The Shimmer Bricks have been a cult classic in the beauty world and for good reason too. The permanent line come in a range of beautiful colours and work well on a wide variety of skin tones which I always appreciate. Both Wild Rose (very similar to Rose from the permanent line) and Sunset Pink (almost a mix between Bronze and Pink Quarts) are limited editions (I apologise for that) I am sure that with the product being so lovely you will be able to find one that works for you!

Packaging Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks.

The classic black Bobbi Brown packaging is something I have always been drawn to. The large compact comes with a great size mirror for on the go and is sturdy enough to pop into your bag without worrying about ruining your product. Although it is arguably a little bulky its easy to find when you are in a rush. The standard size weighs in at 10.3g/ 4OZ which is a good size and lasts forever! The mini Sunset Pink comes in an adorable brushed rose gold packaging and is more travel friendly than the original however still hosts an impressive sized mirror so win win! (I really wish everything came in a mini size)

The powders are a little stiff to the touch ( The Sunset Pink on the right is a lot softer and smoother) but don’t let that fool you. Once you have picked up the product using a brush or your fingers it swatches beautifully. It has a high shine finish and although some of the shimmer bricks can be a bit chunky both of these are beautifully smooth and have a metallic sheen to them.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks Sunset Pink and Wild Rose Swatches

Wild rose is a rosey pink (it looks cooler in the picture than it actually is) and Sunset Pink has a more corally peachy tone to it. More sunset than pink!

The best thing about the shimmer bricks is that they come in strips of colours so you can adjust the tone and shimmer depending on where you pick up the product.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Wild Rose Strip Swatches

Wild Rose: Is more icy and has a couple of warm tones in there. As the pan is larger being full size you have more control over which colour you want more of when you pick up the product.

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Sunset Pink Strip Swatches

Sunset Pink: Has more bronze tones in there. The top strip is a pearlescent white with a multi toned shift to it. When you swirl your brush across the pan you get a beautiful peachy pink shade but again you could isolate the colour you want and pick and mix between the strips.

How I use It:

I love this as a highlighter, the Wild pink is a favourite of mine for my inner corner. It is great as a blush topper and beautiful as an eyeshadow. I love the fact that it is so easy to use, looks flawless and can be used in a variety of ways.

Which Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks do you own and which would you recommend?

    1. The wild is really pretty! Bobbi Brown have some amazing products, I love their base products and skincare? Their lipsticks are great too. If you have a counter near you I would definitely recommend you check them out! X
