Review & Swatches: By Terry Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadows- Blond opal, Bronze Moon and Misty Rock! Bargain!

I have coveted the By Terry Eyeshadow sticks for many moons back when all the influencers were raving about them in the UK. My only set back was the price point. At a whopping £29 each I kept my purse in check on those days when the impulse buying itch set off! The Gift sets although better value were still quite pricey. So when I saw Gem Glow Ombre Blackstar Set in allbeauty (international delivery available) reduced after sale for only £21.95 for all three (!!!) i just had to get it! (no buy? what no buy?)

This set comes in three of their most popular shades and they are all full size at 1.64g each. Infused with Tahitian Black Pearl extracts that are “rich in ultra- smoothing proteins” gives a smooth satin creaseless finish. They have a beautifully smooth creamy texture that glides on the delicate eye area like butter and once set they don’t budge which gives you a carefree work day or evening out ( I still use a base or primer underneath as I have quite oily lids and found that they weren’t as long wearing as a stand alone product).

You do have sufficient time to play around with them and blend and buff as you desire before they lock into place which is a bonus. They provide instant glamour in a quick swipe and blend on the edges giving great coverage and a sophisticated shine. They are so fool proof to use that you can pop one of these in your bag and do a quick look on the go with stunning polished results.

-Ombre Blackstar Color-Fix Cream Eye Shadow N3 Blond Opal- “Creamy” champagne vanilla shade with golden micro shimmer. Great for inner corner and brow bone smudged out for a soft glow or patted on for a more intense shine! for my medium-tan skin tone I still feel like this is quite wearable.

-Ombre Blackstar Colour-Fix Cream Eye Shadow N4 Bronze Moon- Bronzy taupe brown with ultra fine cool toned micro shimmers. This is the one I was most excited about!

This is such a wearable bronze for all and any occasion. It is a little on the cool side but topped with a warm gold can do amazing things if you prefer warmer tones. Or even buffed out gives a more chocolatey feel.

-Ombre Blackstar Colour-Fix Cream Eye Shadow N5 Misty Rock- Is the most unique shade out of the three. It is a rich rosey Amethyst with cool multi-coloured shimmer.

Depending on how the light catches the shimmers it can have a lavender feel to it or a more rich jewel toned pinky tone which blends out to a soft mauvey- amethyst. (confused?…apologies)

These eyeshadow sticks can be layered for an intense look or smudged out for a more wearable soft look. In terms of longevity it really depends on the type of eyelids you have (as most products don’t perform equally on different skin tones and types).

Would I purchase them at full price, maybe not as the price point is still quite crazy even by my standards. However, getting them at the amazing deal I did, I would say its a clear winner (and if you really love them I suggest getting a back up as you cant go wrong getting three for less than the price of one!)

As usual I will list all current deals below. This is not a sponsored review and I bought this item myself therefore all opinions are my own (as with all my reviews) and I really dont know much about affiliate links!
